The Wakefield Acorn & RISC OS Computer Show
In May 1996, Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club organised the first Wakefield Acorn Computer Show. The event was quickly arranged at short notice, following the cancellation of the Acorn User Spring Show in Harrogate, and was held in the Cedar Court Hotel at Calder Grove near Wakefield.
In 2000 the show became known simply as “Wakefield 2000” – and the naming convention has continued to the present day. Wakefield 2020 will be taking place in the Cedar Court Hotel near Wakefield, on 18th April 2020. Details can be found on the dedicated show website.
Postponed until 2021
We regret to announce that due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Wakefield 2020 will not take place on Saturday 18th April, and will have to be postponed.
Instead, our 25th show has been rescheduled for Saturday 24th April 2021, and we look forward to welcoming both exhibitors and visitors to Yorkshire 25 years after our first event in 1996. Please continue to check the show website for further updates.
